The Institut Polytechnique de Paris is organizing its first Open Access Week from 5 to 8 November 2024. For this event, the documentation services of the member schools will offer a series of activities focused on open science issues.

The Open Access Week is an international event that aims to raise awareness in the scientific and student communities about the challenges and practices of open science, whose main objective is the free dissemination of the results of scientific research in its various forms (publications, data, software).

Participate in daily workshops on the following topics:

  • "Learn more about Open Access agreements with publishers" from 9:30 to 10 am ;
  • "Explore the world of open access datasets" from 11 to 11:30 am ;

Have a coffee and chat at our standfrom 12 am to 1:30 pm; and listen to feedback from scientists online from 1:30 to 2 pm.

 

Join us at different locations of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris:

  • Tuesday, November 5 at Télécom SudParis ;
  • Wednesday November 6th at the École Polytechnique ;
  • Thursday, November 7th at Télécom Paris and the École nationale des ponts et chaussées.

 

And online to listen to the scientists and exchange views with them :

  • Arnaud Beck (LLR) about software and open source ;
  • Stéphanie Chaillat (POEMS) and Claude Sabbah (CMLS) about Diamond publishing models : JTCAM journal and Journal de l'Ecole polytechnique - Mathématiques ;
  • Martin Genet (MEDICIM) on the issue of reproducibility and the use of Jupyter Notebook ;
  • Caroline Corbières (Library of Ecole polytechnique) on the results of the survey on open science practices at IP Paris.
